The repairs:
most common types

Fringes: it's common for a rug's fringes to become damaged. We can preserve the existing fringes and reinforce them with stopping stitches. But when they are too damaged, we replace them by implanting new fringes.

Borders: just like the fringes, the side edges of a rug are more exposed to foot traffic and tend to get damaged. The repair is relatively simple and involves reconstructing the damaged borders, advancing millimetre by millimetre.

Wool restoration: sometimes it's the body of the rug that is damaged, even torn. Whatever the cause of the deterioration – moths, cat scratches, or simply wear and tear – we replace the wool and, when necessary, the warp and weft of the rug.

Colour revitalization: prolonged exposure to sunlight tends to fade all or part of your rug. In this case, we restore the areas that have lost their colour and return your rug to its original splendor.
